Description
Three way tee with 1/8-27 NPT ports, sized for a differential pressure switch installation, with a 5/16 port.
A DPS tee sits between the two halves of a split braking system and carries the switch that lights the brake warning lamp when one circuit loses pressure. Splitting a feed is only half of what it is doing. The other half is giving that switch or sender a threaded home in the right place in the circuit.
NPT is a tapered thread, so it seals on the thread itself and not on a flare seat. Use a sealant rated for brake fluid, keep it back from the first thread or two so nothing ends up inside the circuit, and do not treat an NPT port as interchangeable with a straight thread of a similar size.
