Description
Heat protection sleeve in black, sold by the foot. It slides over a brake line or hydraulic hose and shields it from radiant heat where the routing takes it past a manifold, a header or a turbo.
It is slimmer than the thick wall insulating hose in this category, and that is the trade you are making. It fits where the thick wall will not, and it puts less material between the line and the heat. If you have the clearance, the thicker one does more.
The gray version is the same sleeve in a different color, so pick on how visible the run is rather than on performance.
Measure the run and add a little. Sleeve trims easily, and a joint mid-run is somewhere grit collects.
